Second Term

The first term has just finished, and we have done a lot of different projects during this time. I think that we have taken advantage of the time, and we have been very productive. Before we started this term, I thought that we would do less things than we have done, and I liked that. For the next term, I propose to do some trips around Donosti.

Cartier Bresson

This is the information about one of the pictures I took:

Seville, children on crutches

This photography was taken in 1933 in France

Here we can see a street which is in ruins, there are many debris on the ground, and in this street there are some children playing with their friends and they look like poor people, without many things, but they still seem to be very happy and having fun. So, on the foreground there is a wall with a gap in the middle, which Cartier used like a frame. Using this frame, we can focus the attention to the childrens. I think that with this photo Cartier wanted to show us that the childhood is always a happy time of our lives, even being poor.

It was imposible to recreate this scene, but we try it and we take these photos, and we use the tunnel like a frame.

Basic photography

In the last classes we have been talking and watching videos about photography. We have learned different tips to get better photos: using the rule og thirds, filling the frame, different backgrounds....
I have chosen this two pictures. So we had to choose one picture with a small depth of field and another with slow shutter speed. Here are the photos, respectively:

Lettering

 Last day, we made paintings to practise different lettering. I liked to do it because for me it has been entertaining. This is my painting:

We have learned that different types of letters are used to do marketing. In this way, through these photos we can appreciate the importance of different letters to sell products:


PAC-MAN

This lettering use the symbol of the game like a letter, and that's why it makes us want to play.




VANILLE BOURBON

It's a very elegant and simple type of letter, and tt suggests the freshness or intensity of its smell.

 

ANELLO 

It's a very simple letter, even without capital letter at the beggining, so it conveys me simplicity.

Planning the European Day of Languages

                                   

The European Day of Languages is celebrated on 26th of September. We are celebrating this day because we think that it is important to promote the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe. Is so interesting that there are about 6500 languages in the world of which 225 are indigenous languages. To celebrate this day we decided to do some activities in our school and apart from that we are going to fil a beautiful video about it.

Mass Media in our lifes

                                        
Nowadays, the press, the radio and television play a big role in the life of our  society. This MassMedias inform, educate and entertain us. They also influence the way we look at the world and make us change our views.
Millions of people watch TV and read newspapers in their free time. In my family, for example, we usually use this medias:

1-Newspaper, Berria: Every day we receive the "Berria" at home because a few years ago my father collaborated in this newspaper.

2-Television, Cuatro: We usually watch this channel because we like the different series that they emit.

3-Radio, Cadena 100: My family doesn't usually listen to the radio, but I like to listen to Cadena 100 when I'm doing my homework.


 In my opinion, I can not imagine my life without media. It is a good option to use its advantages, although we must be careful since the internet affects in our lives and could cause us a lot of damage

First term

Hello!
I'm Garazi, but people use to call me Etxaniz.
This school year I have chosen this subject (Audiovisual culture) because I think that It's a really interesting subject and by the way I expect I can study more english.
